The event received 3/4 page publicity in the local press. Lawrence Sheard, captain of the belltower, helped Zac to prepare his bear-parachute at the top of the Parish Church Tower. The event was co-ordinated by Liz Benson.
Preparing Fairtrade fruit for an Iftari hosted by the PKWA (Pakistan and Kashmir Welfare Association) to mark the end of the day's fast. This is set to become an annual event. All 9 South Asian Community Centres in Kirklees have signed up to Fairtrade.
A Fairtrade Football Match was held between members of the South Asian Community Centres, using a Fairtrade football and serving Fairtrade oranges and mangoes at half time. The event was co-ordinated by Fiaz Rashid and Michael Wharton.
